After Planet Zoo 2 was announced, the race was on to complete my long-running project Dewsbury Zoological Gardens, formerly known as Crow Nest Park Zoo.
I wrote an introductory post about it a long time ago but it's basically a project to turn my local public park into a zoo (or at least a private zoo that is in the process of turning into a public zoo).
I officially started it in 2021 but by 2026 a lot of it was outdated so I essentially rebuilt it from scratch over the past 6 months.
As the release of Planet Zoo 2 grew closer, the pressure ramped up and it was a huge effort to get everything done in time. I had to make a few sacrifices, including cutting a lot of animals from my master plan and not finishing some details (like a lot of signage) but overall, I'm very happy with how it turned out and I'm impressed with how much I actually got done.
Since Planet Zoo 2 is now out (INCREDIBLE game, by the way), I won't have time to write up a written tour on here but rest assured, I will definitely get one out eventually!
